About Zach Hofer-Shall

Welcome to the online home of Zachariah N. Hofer-Shall

First off all, Zach apologizes for writing this in the first person, but because he has done such a poor job of personal branding, it is necessary for Zachariah Nathaniel Hofer-Shall to use his name many times throughout this site to make the Google gods happy. He’s really sorry for how annoying this must read.

Now, let’s get on to a little “get me off the hook liability disclaimer“: This blog is independent to me and is not affiliated with my employer. I take sole responsibility for any of the opinions, commentary, ranting, or further information I write here.

Secondly, my product/review/freebie disclaimer: I do not keep any of the review or test items that companies send me. I very happily accept test or review units, but will send them back to the company, or give the items away to readers after I am finished. This keeps me honest and unbiased and you interested in getting free stuff…

Now onto the bio: Zach was born in Michigan and has spent time living the following places: Vermont, where he finished high school; Schenectady, NY to attend Union College (studied Computer Engineering and English, but graduated with a BS in Psychology. And no, the BS doesn’t stand for that), moved to Connecticut for a year, before settling in the quaint Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston, MA.

Currently Zach works as an Analyst at Forrester Research writing and analyzing Customer Intelligence. This role enables him to help companies better understand how the rapidly evolving web is changing the way companies understand, manage, and track their customers.

The early stages of Mr. Hofer-Shall’s career include web development and design, blogging, video production, college recruiting, and IT headhunting, as well as golf ball collecting and bread-basket packaging.

Zach enjoys watching and playing golf and soccer; eating chicken fingers and popcorn; drinking rye and microbrewed beers; playing scrabble, boggle, and trivial pursuit; and watching animal documentaries or British TV shows.
